Dear Gilbert Blythe,
I wanted you to know that you were my first literary crush. I don’t remember much about you. I think you liked to pull Anne’s hair. That wasn’t very nice of you, but you can pull my hair any time you like. I’ll even put it in pigtails for you.

Dear Draco Malfoy,
I don’t like you in the books. You’re a…bloodist. Also a coward. Also you look like a rat. Though, I don’t blame you. Your dad was kind of a dick, so it’s really not that surprising.
I prefer the fanfiction version of you. And the movie version. I like to pretend you going over to the good side is canon even if it was cut out. Given the chance, I think you could’ve been so much more than a secondary foil.

P.S. You were totally in love with Hermione, weren’t you? Should have made your move, buddy. She totally loved you too.
P.P.S. If you ever get over your anti-muggle thing, give me a call.

Dear Augustus Waters,
I fell in love with you on page 53 of The Fault in our Stars even though I didn’t want to. I’m not going to pull a Darcy and list all the reasons why I fought against the attraction. I have nothing against your circumstances or your family. I do have one issue though, and that is you are a love interest in a John Green novel and John Green is rarely kind to his love interests. I mean, TFIOS could pull an Abundance of Katherines, but I doubt it. I’m foreseeing more of an abundance of tears when this goes the way of Looking for Alaska. I’m scared to continue reading about you to be honest.
Please don’t die. For me.

P.S. Please don’t spoil me for TFIOS or I will hate you forever and I really don’t want to hate you forever.
Ooohhhhh Gilbert was one of my first literary crushes as well!!! He’s just so wonderful <333
My biggest love overall is probably Darcy. Cliche, I know, but why go looking for perfection when one already has it?
I considered writing something to Darcy, but I wasn’t sure which incarnation of his I was talking to…
Hee, you wrote letters to two of my literary crushes: Gilbert and Draco. 😀
I’m very tempted to do this myself. Though I may have to do a series, lol. One lot for the likes of Gilbert, and Draco, and Rushton (Obernewtyn Chronicles), and then another post entitled Dear Austen Heroes, and then any more I can think of, lol.
do it
Okay. Because you told me to. 😀
TFiOS broke my heart. I felt a literal pain.
But as for literay crushes here’s one:
Dear Peeta,
We all know Katniss settled for you. And even though
That totally cut off! Bascially, bake me bread and love me Peeta 😀
I just finished TFIOS and I spent the last 60 pages sobbing. For real.
I’m sad your letter got cut off 😦
Your letter to Draco is so funny! I love it!
I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😀
Gilbert Blythe! ILY FOREVA AND EVA! You can call me Carrots anytime!
Dear Cricket Bell,
I love your awesome pants. And your science.
XOXOXO
April
I was this~ close to writing one for Cricket, but then all I could think about was how tall he was and then I got flustered… >_>

YAY! I love this so much! I think I’m going to do my own letters because you came up with this genius idea and I think it’s so fab.
Also, I am completely with you about Draco. Sometimes I FORGET that he didn’t totally go over to the good side because I have convinced myself that it happened.
Huzzah for literary crushes! ❤
Oh awesome! When you do let me know because I would LOVE to read them ❤
Dear Marcus Flutie.
I loved you even when you had dreadlocks. You. Yes. You.
whatever
Carla
I know of Marcus Flutie only because of the fangirling of two of my best friends. I really need to read these books.
Oh Theo Theodorakis, I think I crushed on you because I wanted to BE Turtle Wexler in the Westing Game. Except, I was never nearly good enough at math.
Could you love a fellow writer, Theo? I’d even learn to play chess with you.
– Elizabeth
He’s a writer? Who is this and what book can I find him in? o_o
Dear Cricket Bell,
You are entire galaxies of sweet, unholy awesomeness. I’m a sucker for tall, nerdy boys.
-Jessica
Dear Michael Moscovitz,
You are the original Cricket Bell in all the best ways. Skinner Box 4 life.
-Jessica
Oh Michael <33333
I never finished the Princess Diaries series because I couldn't remember where I left off, but I think a reread/finishing of the series is in order.
Gilbert Blythe is mine. Don’t even think about it or I’ll have to pull YOUR hair!
LOL this may be my favourite comment ever in the history of forever
How about we share him. You can have him Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and I’ll take him Monday, Friday, Sunday. I say we give him Wednesday to rest.
LoL. love the letter to Draco.. there was almost snapple all over the invoices on my desk just now.. Clearly, i should be working and not reading blogs… but glad I risked the mess. 🙂 This post is gold.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! (and that your snapple didn’t end up all over your desk ^_~)
I just discovered your site through April’s blog and Inknow I’m going to love it.I love, love the letter to Draco; so completely true! Also, yes, John Green is usually not nice to his love interests and I was almost sobbing at the end of TFIOS.
I did sob right through the last 60 pages. That book was killer. Glad you’re enjoying the blog 😀
